Broken Bow Cross Country Invite Results – Broken Bow’s Ashlyn Schauda Wins Girls Title

Broken Bow hosted its cross country invitational on Saturday at the Broken Bow golf course.  Athletes took advantage of a beautiful morning and put forth some outstanding performances.

Broken Bow finished runner up in the girls team standings just nine points behind team champion Gothenburg.  The Lady Indians were led by Ashlyn Schauda who delivered the top area highlight of the day by winning the girls individual championship with a time of 20:55.03.  Broken Bow would place four runners in the top 20.  Genesis Guevara finished 14th, Dacie Henderson 15th, and Maydee Guevara was 20th.  Gaby Staples was just outside the top 20 placing 22nd overall.  Other area highlights included South Loup placing two runners in the top 15.  Ella Cool placed in the top 5 finishing fourth in a time of 21:39.99 and Ivy Tullis placed 12th.

Gothenburg won the boys team championship followed by Cozad in 2nd.  South Loup finished 5th and Broken Bow was 6th in the final boys team standings,  Tyler Hetz of Gothenburg was the individual champion in a winning time of 16:41.42.  Broken Bow placed two runners in the top 15 led by Logan Bell in 14th (18:33.64) and Jackson Hansen was 15th (18:34.57).  Other area highlights included Jaden Bush of South Loup finishing 17th and Josiah Coleman of South Loup finished just outside the top 20 placing 21st.
