Members of the Broken Bow Cosmos Swim Team competed at the “Fun in the Sun” meet this past weekend in Hastings. The Cosmos swimmers delivered some strong performances in their respective age groups. Among the highlights, McKinnley Brewer had a runner-up finish in the female 9-10 year old 100 meter backstroke. Kaytee Crawford was runner-up in the female 11-12 year old 400 meter freestyle. Zakary Crawford was runner-up in the male 15 & over butterfly. Tylee Fenton delivered runner-up finishes in the female 11-12 year old 50 meter freestyle and 100 meter breaststroke.
Two Cosmos swimmers, Zephie Fowler and Alexandria Morris, successfully completed and received the special pentathlon award in their age division for swimming the 50 meter freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly along with the 200 Individual
medley.
Callie White of Broken Bow also competed at the meet placing first in both the female 15 & over 50 meter and 100 meter breaststroke events.
The next and final regular season meet for the Broken Bow Cosmos will take place in Kearney in two weeks.
