The Southwest Conference Cross Country Championships were held at Ogallala on Thursday. Broken Bow finished runner up behind champion Ainsworth in the girls team standings. Broken Bow placed four girls in the top 20. The Lady Indians were led by Ashlyn Schauda who was 4th in a time of 20:28.71. Genisis Guevara was 12th (21:55.60). Jaycee Staples finished 16th (22:15.75) and Gaby Staples was 18th (22:21.26). The girls individual champion was Lindee Henning of Ogallala in a winning time of 18:47.25.
Gothenburg won the boys team championship with Holdrege finishing runner up. Broken Bow was fourth in the team standings. Broken Bow placed two runners in the top 20 led by Jackson Hansen who was 16th (17:26.44) and Brock Oeltjen placed 20th (17:55.14). The boys individual champion was Tyler Hetz of Gothenburg in a winning time of 16:09.51.
