Broken Bow Competes at Gothenburg Cross Country Invite

Broken Bow was among the teams that competed Thursday at the Gothenburg cross country invitational. The Indians did not compete with their full teams having already competed earlier this week at the UNK meet in Kearney on Monday.

In the boys race, Gothenburg had the top four finishers led by Tyler Hetz who won the boys individual title in a winning time of 17:06. Broken Bow had two runners place in the top 20. Brock Oeltjen was 18th in a time of 19:27 and right behind in 19th was Asher Jensen in a time of 19:28. Brian Fox of Broken Bow finished in the top 30 placing 28th. In other area highlights, Keith Morash of Sandhills Valley placed 26th overall.

In the girls race, McCook’s Emma Cappel was the individual champion in a winning time of 21:07. The top Broken Bow finisher was MaKinley Tobey who finished 19th in a time 24:41.
