Broken Bow Competes at Dutch Zorn Track Invite

Broken Bow was among the teams that competed at the Dutch Zorn track invite in Gothenburg on Thursday. The boys team championship went to Gothenburg with 93 points and McCook was one point behind in second with 92 points. Broken Bow finished in a tie with Cozad for 6th in the boys standings with 44 points. The girls team title went to went to Sidney with 117 points. McCook was in 2nd with 85 points and Kearney Catholic was third with 84. Broken Bow finished with 12 team points.

Among the Broken Bow highlights, Cruze Safranek was runner up in the boys 100 meter dash in a time of 11.21 seconds. Broken Bow was runner up in the boys 4×100 meter relay. The team of Brice Chaplin, Coy Wardyn, Eli Coble, and Cruze Safranek posted a time of 44.41 seconds. Max Denson was runner up in the boys shot put with an effort of 52′ 4″ and Coy Wardyn was runner up in the boys pole vault clearing 13′ 9″. Eli Coble had a top three finish in the boys triple jump going 41′ 2″ to finish third.

Cruze Safranek boys 200 – 5th (23.53)
Coy Wardyn boys 100 – 6th (11.85)
Halle Quinn girls 800 – 4th (2:34.24)
Taylor Schaaf girls discus – 5th (115′ 1″)
