Broken Bow was among the teams that competed at the Dave Gee track invite hosted by Northwest High School in Grand Island on Thursday. The top eight in each event medaled.
The top Broken Bow highlight came in the girls pole vault where Charlee Myers placed
fourth overall in the girls pole vault and bettered her school record in the event by clearing 10′ 7″. Drew Ellis was runner up in the boys discus with an effort of 154′ 4″ and medaled in the boys shot put finishing sixth with an effort of 49′ 9″. Gunner Baltz was sixth in the boys discus at 144′ 11″. Halle Quinn was third in the girls 800 with a time of 2:27.51. Ida Bumgarner placed eighth in the girls discus with an effort of 111′ 2″.
In the relays, Broken Bow placed in the girls 4×800 meter relay. The team of Lauryn Hansen, Ashlyn Schauda, Izzy Shelton, and Halle Quinn finished fifth. Broken Bow also placed in the girls 4×400. The team of Baylee Clark, McKenna Jacobsen, Halle Quinn, and Izzy Shelton finished eighth.
