Broken Bow finished third at the 2024 NSAA State Wrestling Dual Championships held at the Buffalo County Fairgrounds Arena in Kearney on Saturday.  Broken Bow advanced out of the quarterfinal round with a 49-25 win over Central City.  Broken Bow would match up with St. Paul in the championship semifinals.  Broken Bow held a 31-29 lead going into the final match of the dual but St. Paul would get the win by decision in the final match to win the dual 32-31.  Broken Bow would face Battle Creek for third.  Battle Creek fell to Minden in the semifinals.  The dual ended in a tie at 35-35 but Minden advanced to the finals on the tie break criteria.  Broken Bow claimed the third place trophy winning over Battle Creek 45-27.

In other area notes from state duals, Burwell placed third in Class D.  The Longhorns defeated Stanton in the quarterfinals 61-13 but fell to top seed Sutherland in the semifinals 39-36.  Burwell faced Ravenna for third with the Longhorns winning the dual 54-27.  In Class B, Cozad finished third.  The Haymakers edged Beatrice in the quarterfinals 36-33 but fell to Omaha Skutt in the semis 46-19.  Cozad faced Gering for third place.  Cozad won the dual 42-28.
