Broken Bow Boys Golf Places 2nd at Home Invite

Broken Bow hosted its annual boys golf invitational Friday at the Broken Bow golf course. The Broken Bow varsity finished as the team runner up with a score of 332. Holdrege won the team title with a low team score of 322. Cozad finished third and the Broken Bow JV’s were fourth.

With the varsity and JV combined, Broken Bow placed seven golfers in the top fifteen. The individual champion was Mason Schroder of Holdrege with a low round of 77. One shot behind in second place was Jack White of Broken Bow with a round of 78. Bowen Ridder of Broken Bow placed third with a round of 79. Other Broken Bow golfers medaling in the top 15 included:
Gavin Carrizales 7th with an 83
Austin Fox 12th with an 87
Garrett Johnk 13th with an 88
Zach Jackson 14th with an 88
Adrian Gibbons 15th with an 89

Area teams Anselmo-Merna and Arcadia/Loup City were among those who competed on Friday. Anselmo-Merna was led by Kayden Record with a round of 97 and ALC was led by Kale Dorsey with a round of 101. Among the other teams who competed was Cozad who was led by Ethan Atchison with a round of 84 good for 8th place. Gothenburg was led by Axel Jorgensen with a round of 95 and Minden was led by Andrew Runions with a round of 95.
