The Broken Bow athletic booster club will host its annual Winter Sports Tip-Off event on Tuesday, December 2nd. The event will feature interviews with coaches and players of this year’s Broken Bow winter sports teams during a live radio broadcast which will air on KBBN 95.3 FM. It is an opportunity for the public to be introduced to this year’s teams and hear their outlook for the upcoming season. The evening will begin with this year’s cheer squad followed by boys basketball, girls basketball, boys wrestling, and conclude with girls wrestling. Booster Club member Brent Kirkpatrick visited with KCNI/KBBN radio and shared how events such as the winter sports tip off assist in fulfilling the mission of the club.
“I mean, we don’t have anything real big yet. We’re still trying to narrow this down. Yeah, we’ve got a short list and I think as we continue to work forward and aim for the goal that we’ve kind of set for ourselves. We’re gonna be able to do that. Of course all these little events that we do like this are real helpful and we will have our big event the Indian nation banquet coming up on March 6th. We’re changing the venue a little bit this year for that event. They’re really good to help us out at the Cobblestone but we thought we’d try to change things up a little bit this year. We had a little bit of a scheduling conflict at the beginning, but we ended up just switching over to the Municipal Building. So we might have to manhandle a little bit of our own duties that way but, yeah, we’re gonna see if we can’t make a little adjustment and help ourselves out even more in the process.”
The Winter Sports Tip Off will take place and Kinkaider Brewing Co. in Broken Bow starting at 6:30.
