Broken Bow Athletic Booster Club to Host Winter Sports Tip Off Friday

The Broken Bow Athletic Booster Club will host the annual winter sports tip off for Broken Bow athletics Friday evening at the One Box Convention Center. It will be an opportunity to meet and wish the 2019 Broken Bow winter sports teams well as they prepare to begin their seasons. Central Nebraska’s Sports Source will be broadcasting live from the event between 6-8pm. The broadcast will air on KBBN 95.3 FM and will feature interviews with Broken Bow girls head basketball coach Kelly Cooksley, boys basketball coach Nate Olson, head wrestling coach Ed Schaaf, as well as some of the high school athletes involved in each sport. Doors open for the event at 5:30. There is no admission charge to enter the event and a nacho bar will be available for a cost of $5. The event will also feature a cornhole tournament for those interested in participating. Booster Club board members Wanda Eberle and Ali Borders were guests on the “Get up and Go Breakfast Show” Wednesday morning and shared some of the recent projects the booster club has been involved in.

Tonight (11/14) the Broken Bow Athletic Booster Club will host the annual Broken Bow fall sports banquet at the convention center beginning at 6:30pm.  The banquet will honor all 9th-12th grade fall athletes, including participants in girls golf, cross country, volleyball, and football.  Each family is asked to bring a main dish.  If your last name begins with A-L, you are also asked to bring a salad.  If your last name begins with M-Z, you are also asked to bring a dessert.  Please bring your own serving utensils.  Table settings and beverages will be provided.
