Broken Bow and South Loup were among the teams that competed Thursday at the Cozad cross country invitational held at the Cozad golf course. Holdrege was the girls team champion and South Loup was girls team runner-up. The boys team champion was Holdrege followed by Cozad in second. Broken Bow finished fourth in the boys team standings.
In the girls race, Broken Bow’s Ashlyn Schauda finished in the top five placing fourth in a time of 22:59. South Loup placed three runners in the top fifteen. Jade Bierman placed 7th (23:13), Delanie Weinman was 10th (24:08), and Chloe Coleman of South Loup was 11th (24:11). The girls individual champion was Zoe Johnson of Brady in a winning time of 20:56. In the boys race, Broken Bow placed two runners in the top 20. Emmett Palmer placed 11th in a time of 19:01 and Gabe Winter was 19th (19:43). South Loup’s Walter Bierman finished in the top fifteen placing 13th (19:24). For full results of the boys race click here.
