The Broken Bow American Legion juniors and seniors hosted Holdrege Wednesday night at Paul Brown Field. The Bow seniors picked up their 7th win of the season and moved to 3-0 in league play with an 8-0 win over Holdrege in five innings. Max Denson pitched a complete game no hitter. Denson threw 84 pitches walking three and striking out ten. Broken Bow scored three runs in the first, one in the third, and four in the bottom of the fourth to bring the eight run rule after five into effect. Coy Wardyn had a multi-hit game for the Bow seniors in the leadoff spot finishing 2 for 3 with two runs scored. Max Denson was 1 for 3 with a run scored and 2 RBI. The Bow seniors are now 7-3 on the season.
The Broken Bow juniors were shut out by Holdrege 15-0. Holdrege used a nine run third inning to pull away. Caenyn Priest and Jackson Hall each had a hit for the Bow juniors who are now 6-2 on the season.
Broken Bow will host a juniors tournament with Bermis (Bertrand/Loomis), St. Paul, and DCB (Dannebrog/Cairo/Boelus) Friday through Sunday. The Bow seniors will host DCB on Saturday and host Bermis on Sunday.
