Broken Bow American Legion Baseball Teams Split Doubleheader with Ogallala

The Broken Bow American Legion baseball teams traveled to Ogallala on Tuesday.

The Bow juniors collected their second win of the season with a 7-3 win.  Broken Bow had just two hits in the game but were able to take advantage of four Ogallala errors and eight walks surrendered by Ogallala pitching.  The two Broken Bow hits were both triples, one by Max Denson and the other by Brice Chaplin.  Chaplin picked up the win pitching a complete game giving up three runs on seven hits and striking out eight.

The Bow seniors dropped a 5-3 decision to Ogallala.  Ogallala scored three runs in their first at bat to take an early lead but Broken Bow came back with two runs in the second inning and another in the third to tie the game.  Ogallala would retake the lead with a run in the fourth inning and added another in the fifth as they held on for the win.  Gavin Goodner went 2 for 3 with a double to lead the Bow offense.
