Brennan Polito of Texas Wins Custer County Classic Bull Riding

The 28th edition of the Custer County Classic Bull Riding Event took place at Trotter Arena at the Custer County Fairgrounds in Broken Bow Monday night.  Bulls and riders combined for another exciting show for the fans in attendance.  Around thirty competitors battled for the right to be called Custer County Classic champion.

Six riders posted a qualified eight second ride in the opening round to advance to the short go finals.  Three riders put together two qualified rides.  Ty Lavergne of Sulphur, LA was the first to post two qualified rides.  After an 83 on ride #1, Lavergne bettered it with an 84.5 in the short go to move to the top of the leaderboard.  Lavergne’s time at the top did not last long as Lane Leeper of Sidney, IA scored an 85 on his second ride to go along with an 84 to become the leader.  The Custer County Classic came down to the final ride of the night and it proved to be the best.  The last rider in the short go was Brennan Polito of Henderson, TX.  After an 85 on his first ride, Polito produced the best score of the night scoring an 88 on his final ride to claim the title.
