The Broken Bow wrestling team faced off against Logan View and Wood River in duals on Friday. Broken Bow went to 2-0 to improve their dual record this season to 3-0. Broken Bow edged Logan View 37-34 and defeated Wood River 57-16. Broken Bow will compete at the Logan View Invite on Saturday. Dual results are posted below.
Burwell, South Loup and Sandhills/Thedford were among the teams that competed at the Southern Valley Duals on Friday. Burwell won the tournament going undefeated with dual wins against South Loup, Hitchcock County, Centura, Southern Valley, and Hi-Line. South Loup placed 5th and Sandhills/Thedford was 6th in the seven team field. Both teams picked up wins against Centura and faced each other with South Loup winning 30-12. Anselmo-Merna and Mullen were among the teams that competed at the Sutherland Invite on Friday. Mullen finished fourth and Anselmo-Merna was tenth in the 22 team field. Mullen placed four wrestlers in the top four of their weight class including three individual champions. Bo Pettit Jr. was champion at 132 lbs. Jason Kraus was champion at 157 and Tate Kvanvig was champion at 215. Jaylon Forsen placed fourth at 138 lbs. Anselmo-Merna placed three wrestlers in the top four of their weight class. Jarrett Wells was runner-up at 150 lbs. Jackson Christen was third at 175 and Tatum Seevers was fourth at 190. More results are posted below.
