The Broken Bow Spirit 16/18U girls softball team played four games over the weekend including three on Saturday. Bow opened with 308 United 18U team falling 13-3. Trinity Erickson had two of Bow’s five hits finishing 2 for 3 in the game. Ruby Russell and Tessa Nichols each hit a double for the Spirit.
In Bow’s second game Saturday, they played to a 7-7 tie. The Spirit fell behind early 5-1 after the first inning then trailed 7-3 after three innings but Broken Bow would score four runs in the fourth inning and the game would end in a tie. Dalila Griffiths and Trinity Erickson each had multi hit games. Griffiths was 3 for 3 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI. Erickson was 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored and 1 RBI.
Bow’s third game of the weekend was against the “Reign”. The Reign scored 6 runs in the second inning to pull away for a 10-0 win. Bow managed just two hits which came from Trinity Erickson and Laney Holcomb.
The Spirit ended the weekend facing the “Rebels” on Sunday. The Rebels had a big game offensively scoring 17 runs on 16 hits. Bow finished with two runs on four hits. Dalila Griffiths was 1 for 2 with a run scored and Katelyn Berggren was 1 for 1 with a run scored.
