The Broken Bow Spirit 16/18U girls softball team swept a doubleheader from the Lexington 16 team on Tuesday. The Spirit scored a combined 33 runs in the two games. In game one, Broken Bow scored 6 runs in their first at bat on their way to a 10-1 win. Cassidy Schweitzer was 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored and 2 runs batted in. Adyson Priest also had a multi hit game finishing 2 for 2 with 2 runs scored. The Spirit was even more impressive offensively in game two scoring 23 runs on 17 hits on their way to a 23-1 win. Six players had multi hit games. Among the offensive leaders were Cassisdy Schweitzer and Dalila Griffiths who each finished 3 for 3. Schweitzer drove in two runs and scored three times while Griffiths scored twice and drove in three runs. The Spirit improve their overall record to 8-9-2.
