The Broken Bow Spirit softball 16U/18U team split a doubleheader with DCB 18U Tuesday. DCB took game one 17-8. The Spirit had 12 hits in the high scoring contest. Taylor Schaaf helped lead the team offensively going 2 for 3 with 2 RBI. Cassidy Schweitzer was 2 for 2 with 2 runs scored. Dalila Griffiths went 2 for 2 with 3 runs scored and an RBI. Adyson Priest also had a multi hit game going 2 for 3 with a run scored and one run batted in.
The Spirit came back in game two of the doubleheader collecting their 4th win of the season 4-3. The Spirit scored two runs in their final at bat and held on for the one run victory. Taylor Schaaf and Dani Claflin each pitched two innings giving up just one hit. Taylor Fedderson had two of the five hits for the Spirit finishing 2 for 2 at the plate with one run batted in.
