Bow Seniors See Season Come to an End at State Tournament

The Broken Bow American Legion Seniors baseball team saw its season come to an end Monday on day three of the Class B Nebraska American Legion State Tournament / American Division in Auburn.  Broken Bow fell to Seward 5-0 in an elimination game.  Seward jumped on the board quickly scoring three runs in their first at bat.  With two on and two out, Seward followed with a double and two singles to get on the board first.  Seward would add two more runs in the third inning to make the score 5-0 and that is how the score remained as Brycen Burt pitched a complete game shutout for Seward to advance them into the next round.  Broken Bow finished with five hits and was able to put the ball in play during the course of the game but just couldn’t string anything together to produce runs.  Broken Bow finished the state tournament going 1-2 and they finish the season with an overall record of 23-10.

It was a tremendous season for the Bow seniors claiming the Mid Nebraska League West Division title, the B6 area tournament championship, and qualifying for the state tournament.
