The Broken Bow American Legion Juniors baseball team traveled to McCook for a doubleheader on Saturday. The two teams split with Broken Bow winning game one and McCook coming back to take game two. Broken Bow scored 15 runs on 9 hits to take game one 15-9. McCook led 8-4 after five innings but the Bow juniors erupted for eleven runs in the top of the sixth to come back and win. Drew Ellis was 3 for 4 with 5 RBI and 3 runs scored and Jackson Hall also had a multi-hit game finishing 2 for 4 with 3 runs scored.
In game two, the game was tied 4-4 after five innings but McCook scored 3 runs in the seventh inning to secure a 7-5 victory. Carter Hall was 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored. Jackson Hall was 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored and an RBI and Drew Ellis also had a multi-hit game finishing 2 for 4 with a run scored and an RBI.
The Bow juniors and seniors will host Ogallala Monday at Paul Brown Field. The juniors game is scheduled for 5:30 with the seniors to follow at 8 p.m. The seniors game will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com.
