Area Wrestling Recap – Bow at Wood River Duals / Pleasanton Invite

The Broken Bow wrestling ream returned to the mats Saturday as they participated at the Wood River Duals. Broken Bow went undefeated on the day to win the meet. Broken Bow’s dual wins came against Gibbon 60-21, Amherst 66-12, Pierce 69-9, Raymond Central 66-12, and David City Aquinas in the championship dual 52-27. Of individual note, it was announced through social media that Cal Wells recorded his 100th win during the tournament.

Pleasanton hosted its wrestling invitational on Saturday. Ravenna was the team champion with 156.5 points. Twin Loup and Ansley/Litchfield were among the teams that competed in the meet. Andy Cash of Ansley/Litchfield was the champion at 285 lbs. Twin Loup had two wrestlers place in the top four of their weight class. Keaton Dowse was fourth at 150 lbs. and Garrett Keith was runner up at 165 lbs.
