Area Wrestlers Compete at SEM Boys Wrestling Invitational

SEM hosted its boys wrestling invitational on Friday.  Anselmo-Merna, SEM, and South Loup were among the area teams who participated.  The Kearney Gold JV’s won the team title with 228.5 points.  Anselmo-Merna finished fifth in the team standings with 76 points.  AM had two individual champions.  Jarrett Wells was champion at 150 lbs. and Jackson Christen was champion at 175 lbs. winning by fall over South Loup’s Paxton Bierman in the championship match.  Bierman claimed one of two runner up finishes for South Loup as Josiah Coleman was runner up at 120 lbs.  Other top four finishes for area wrestlers included Isaiah Hoyt of Anselmo-Merna placing fourth at 126 lbs., Heath Henson of SEM was third at 165 lbs., and Dylanger Schledewitz of SEM was fourth at 120 lbs.
