The Broken Bow volleyball team edged Hershey 3 sets to 2 to win their season opener Thursday evening in Hershey. Broken Bow won the opening set 25-21. Hershey came back to claim set two 25-22. Broken Bow would dominate set three winning 25-7 but Hershey was able to respond in the fourth winning 26-24 to extend the match. In the fifth, Broken Bow jumped out early and held on to close out the match 15-7. Klarissa Dowdy and Addison Ellis led the way offensively as each finished with a team high 21 kills. Maren Chapin finished with 53 assists.
