Pleasanton hosted the Dick O’Neill Memorial track invite in Kearney on Thursday. Axtell was the girls team champion with Overton 2nd and Sandhills/Thedford 3rd in the girls team standings. Kearney won the boys team title. Ansley/Litchfield placed 6th in the boys team standings.
Among the area highlights, Ryan Bailey of Ansley/Litchfield won the boys high jump with a winning effort of 6′. Taryn Arbuthnot of SEM won the girls high jump with a winning effort of 5′, was second in the girls long jump and was third in the girls 200. Rilyn Schledewitz of SEM was the champion in the girls 3200 in a winning time of 13:48.27. Sandhills/Thedford won the girls 4×100 meter relay. The team of Anna Clark, Kallan Cox, Charlsie Teahon, and Dayle Haake posted a winning time of 53.67. S/T also won the girls 4×400 in a time of 4:26.03 (Anna Clark, Dayle Haake, Haylee Dimmitt, and Charlsie Teahon). Luke Bailey of Ansley/Litchfield was runner up in the boys 110 meter hurdles and was also the runner up in the 300 meter hurdles. Dayle Haake of Sandhills/Thedford was runner up in the girls 100 meter hurdles. Jaylen Dimmitt of Sandhills/Thedford placed second in the girls shot put. Sandhills/Thedford placed 2nd in the girls 4×800 meter relay followed by Ansley/Litchfield in 3rd. Isaac O’Brien of Ansley/Litchfield placed third in the boys 800. Caydence Feldman of Ansley/Litchfield was 3rd in the girls 3200.
