The KCNI/KBBN coverage area was well represented at the Ord boys wrestling invitational on Friday. Battle Creek won the team title followed by Burwell in second. Broken Bow placed fourth in the team standings with 144.5 points. Among the area highlights, Broken Bow had three individual champions. Braxon Rynearson was champion at 150 lbs., Aidan Markham was champion at 165 lbs., and Cobe Wells claimed the title at 175 for the Indians. Burwell had two individual champions. Brody Jensen was champion at 132 lbs. and Drew Dawe was champion at 138 lbs. Arcadia/Loup City had two individual champions. Joseph Ducker was champion at 190 lbs. and Wyatt Stieb was champion at 215 lbs.
Other highlights included a runner up finish for Caleb Clark of Sandhills/Thedford at 113 lbs. and runner up finishes for Burwell’s Michael Hunter and Trentin Brown at 106 lbs. and 165 lbs. respectively.
