Ord hosted its annual wrestling invitational on Friday. Among the area teams that competed were Broken Bow, Arcadia/Loup City, Ansley/Litchfield, Burwell, and Sandhills/Thedford. Broken Bow finished runner up in the team standings behind team champion Battle Creek. Burwell placed third in the team standings.
Among the area highlights, at 106 lbs. Bowen Ridder of Broken Bow was 3rd and Michael Hunter of Burwell placed 4th. Brody Jensen of Burwell was champion at 113 lbs. Ora Chaffin of Burwell was third at 120 lbs. Braxton Eggleston of Broken Bow was 4th at 132 lbs. Austin Mayfield of Burwell was runner up at 138 lbs. At 144 lbs. Braxon Rynearson of Broken Bow was runner up and Cort Buss of Burwell was 3rd. At 150 lbs. Cobe Wells of Broken Bow was runner up and Kolton Thoene of Burwell was 3rd. At 157 lbs. Broken Bow’s Aidan Markham was runner up and Joseph Ducker of Arcadia/Loup City was 3rd. Preston Krause of Burwell was 4th at 165 lbs. At 190 lbs. Cale Buss of Burwell was runner up, Wyatt Stieb of Arcadia/Loup City was third and Ethan Rabou of Sandhills/Thedford was 4th. Cal Wells of Broken Bow remained unbeaten this season winning the championship at 215 lbs. At 285 lbs. Caden Zutavern of Sandhills/Thedford finished 4th.
