Sandhills Valley hosted the annual Dave Blevins Memorial Track Invite on Friday at the track facility in Arnold. Mullen edged North Platte St. Pat’s for the girls team title 125-122 and South Loup was third. South Loup won the boys team title followed by St. Pat’s in second and Sandhills Valley was third.
Among the area highlights, Ethan Furne of South Loup won the boys long jump with an effort of 21′ 11.25″. Uotong Haidle of South Loup won the boys pole vault clearing 11′. Dylan Pandorf of South Loup won the boys triple jump with an effort of 40′ .5″. Asa Starr of South Loup won the girls high jump clearing 4′ 8″. Josiah Coleman of South Loup won the boys 3200 in a winning time of 11:30.92. Cayden Hampton of Mullen won the boys 300 meter hurdles in a time of 43.57 seconds. Lily Thornton of Anselmo-Merna won the girls discus with a winning effort of 122′ 6″ and Haylee Dimmitt of Sandhills/Thedford won the girls shot put with an effort of 36′ 8.5″. Devanee Connell of Sandhills Valley won the girls triple jump at 32′ 2.25″. Peyton Paxton of Mullen won the girls 3200 in a winning time of 12:06.67 and won the 1600 in a time of 5:43.25. Chloe Newman of Mullen won the girls 200 in a time of 28.25 seconds. Shayleigh Coleman of Anselmo-Merna won the girls 100 meter hurdles in a time of 17.3 seconds and Jenna Donahoe of Mullen won the girls 300 meter hurdles in a time of 52.81. Brynne McCully of Mullen won the girls 400 in a time of 1:05.29. South Loup won the girls 4×400 in a winning time of 4:35.84.
