Area Teams Compete at Amherst Wrestling Invite

Amherst hosted its annual boys wrestling invite on Saturday. Just two points separated the top three teams. Amherst was the team champion with 152 points, Plainview was second with 151, and Gibbon was third with 150.

Among the area highlights, Arcadia/Loup City placed two wrestlers in the top four of their weight class. Wyatt Stieb was runner up at 215 lbs. and Joseph Ducker was third at 175. Anselmo-Merna placed two wrestlers in the top four. Jarrett Wells was runner up at 150 lbs. and Jackson Christen was fourth at 175. Choncey Freeman of SEM placed third at 113 lbs.
