Area Representation in the NIRA Top Ten Standings for College Rodeo

A couple of familiar area names show up in the top ten of the national standings for college rodeo.

As of  November 4th, the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association lists Matt Miller of Callaway in the top ten in tie down roping.  Miller sits 10th in the nation with 388 points for the season.  Miller is a member of the Mid Plains Community College Rodeo team which currently leads the nation in the men’s team standings.

Mullen graduate Brooke McCulley is a member of the Chadron State rodeo team and is sitting 2nd in the breakaway roping standings.  McCulley accumulated 450 points and is just 25 points behind the event’s leader.
