Area High School Football 9/20 – Broken Bow at Ord on KCNI

It’s week four of the Nebraska high school football season.  Broken Bow is on the road for the second week in a row as they travel to face rival Ord.  The Indians collected their first win of the season last week overcoming a 20-6 first half deficit to knock off St. Paul 36-23.  Broken Bow head coach Carlie Wells told KCNI/KBBN sports this week that he was pleased with the poise and grit of his team last week in the comeback win.

“Yeah I was really happy with that.  They could have hung their heads.  (St. Paul) had a punt return and one long pass and they could have hung their heads but they just kept fighting and grinding and I felt we got better as the game went on and they just matured a little bit and did some really good things.”

Ord is still looking for their first win of the season following losses to Central City, Kearney Catholic, and O’Neill to start the season.

Tonight’s game between Broken Bow and Ord will be broadcast on KCNI 96.3 FM and kcni1280.com.  Coverage begins with the Custer Federal State Bank pregame show at 6 p.m. followed by the kickoff at 7.
