The annual New West All-Star Classic volleyball and basketball games, benefitting the Nebraska Kidney Association, are scheduled for today and tomorrow in Minden.
The all star games feature 2023 graduates from teams that make up the following conferences, Lou-Platte, Fort Kearny, Southwest, and Republican Plains Activities Conference. The annual volleyball classic is scheduled for today (6/14). Opening round matches will feature the SWC vs LPC and the FKC vs RPAC with the championship and consolation matches to follow. Danica Heil of Arcadia/Loup City is listed on the roster for the Lou-Platte Conference all stars and Kaylee Rohde along with Katherine Paitz of Ansley/Litchfield are among those listed on the Fort Kearny Conference roster.
The annual all star girls and boys basketball games are scheduled for Thursday (6/15). The girls will play first at 5 p.m. with the SWC facing the Lou-Platte conference and the Fort Kearny Conference all stars will play the RPAC. Boys games will follow featuring the same conference matchups. The FKC girls basketball roster includes Kaylee Rohde and Katherine Paitz of Ansley/Litchfield. The SWC boys roster includes Roman Schmidt of Broken Bow while the Lou-Platte roster includes Hayden Griffith and Peyton Garrelts of Arcadia/Loup City. The FKC roster includes Noah and Kellen Eggleston and Jayson Guthard of SEM along with Leyton Rohde of Ansley/Litchfield.
