Area Athletes Compete at St. Pat’s / Hershey Track Invite

The annual St. Pat’s / Hershey track and field invitational was held Thursday at Hershey.  Mullen and Sandhills Valley were among the teams that competed.

Recapping some of the area highlights, Mullen’s Chase Gracey had a strong showing in the boys  hurdles winning the 300 meter hurdles in a time of 41.77 seconds and placed second in the 110 meter hurdles.  Gracey was also part of the Mullen boys 4×400 meter relay team which took gold with a winning time of 3:46.68.  Isaac Goosey of Sandhills Valley was runner up in the boys 800 meters and was a member of the Sandhills Valley 4×800 meter relay team which placed 2nd.  Colton Miller of Sandhills Valley was runner up in the boys shot put.

Harper Andersen of Mullen placed first in the girls 400 with a winning time of 1:05.62 and was runner up in the 800.  Peyton Paxton of Mullen claimed two golds winning the girls 1600 in a time of 6:00.10 and the 3200 in a time of 12:37.78.  Georgia Wingebach of Mullen swept the girls hurdles winning the 100 meter hurdles in a time of 18.78 seconds and the 300 hurdles in a time of 53.57.  Mullen won the girls 4×800 meter relay in a time of 10:50.5.
