Gibbon hosted its cross country invitational on Thursday. Franklin won the boys team title and Elm Creek was the girls team champion. The boys individual champion was Marcus Hernandez of Bertrand in a winning time of 18:46.55. The girls individual champion was Cicely Gugelman of Elm Creek in a time of 24:05.2.
Among the area highlights, Rilyn Schledewitz of SEM placed 5th in the girls race in a time of 24:49.14. Addie Rohde of Ansley/Litchfield placed 12th in the girls race in a time of 27:27.85 and Kelbi Martin of Arcadia/Loup City finished in the top 30 placing 27th in a time of 32:53.03.
In the boys race, Chris Allen of Arcadia/Loup City was 12th in a time of 21:14.22 and Clay Scoville of SEM was 15th in a time of 21:36.99. William Beattie of SEM was 22nd (22:42.74) and Kolten Clay of Ansley/Litchfield was 25th (22:51.06). Treu Atkins of SEM was in the top 30 placing 30th (23:18.07).
