Sandhills Valley hosted the Dave Blevins Memorial Track and Field invitational Friday at Arnold. North Platte St. Pat’s won both the boys and girls team titles with South Loup finishing as the team runner up in both divisions.
Among the area highlights, Tad Dimmitt of Sandhills Valley won the boys shot put with an effort of 53′ 11.25″ and also won the discus with an effort of 157′ 11.5″. Dawson Mason of South Loup won the boys pole vault clearing 10′. Clayton Moore of Mullen won the boys long jump going 21′ 4.5″ and also won the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 39.94. Alex Werner of Mullen won the boys 400 in a time of 53.06. Isaac Goosey of Sandhills Valley won the boys 800 in a time of 2:06.78.
On the girls side, Abby Stallbaumer of South Loup won the girls discus with an effort of 116′ 4″. Jaylen Dimmitt of Sandhills Valley won the shot put with an effort of 35′ 9.5″. Carlee Bartak of Anselmo-Merna won the girls triple jump with a winning effort of 31′ 1″. Peyton Paxton of Mullen won the girls 3200 meters in a time of 12:12.49. Ivy Tullis of South Loup won the girls 800 in a time of 2:33.63. Tierston Moore of Mullen won the girls 100 meter hurdles in a time of 15.83.
In the relays, South Loup won both the girls and boys 4×800. The team of Erin Fitzgerald, Ava Pandorf, Ella Cool, and Ivy Tullis posted a winning time in the girls race of 11:01.39 and the team of Trey Connell, Silas Cool, Logan Recoy, and Dylan Pandorf won the boys race in a winning time of 8:30.00.
