Ainsworth hosted its cross-country invitational on Thursday. Ord claimed both the boys and girls team championships. West Holt was the girls team runner-up and Ainsworth was the boys team runner-up.
The top area highlight came in the girls race where Shylee Gonzales of Sandhills/Thedford was the girls individual champion in a winning time of 21:11.42. Burwell placed two runners in the top ten. Among the area highlights in the boys race, JJ Maynard of Burwell placed in top ten finishing 8th in a time of 19:50.11. Twin Loup’s Carter Peterson finished in the top 25 placing 23rd in a time of 22:46.8. Finn Reilly of Ord was the boys individual champion in a winning time of 18:16.30.
