Ansley/Litchfield and SEM Advance to Boys State Basketball Tournament

Ansley/Litchfield claimed the D1-3 boys basketball district championship Saturday defeating Cambridge 46-23 to advance to the state tournament for the second straight year and for the third time in the last four years.  The Spartans put together a dominant defensive performance holding Cambridge to just six points in the first half.  Cambridge tried to make a couple of runs in the second half but Ansley/Litchfield always had an answer to secure the win.  Ansley/Litchfield’s Luke Bailey led all scorers with a game high 22 points and Zach Loy also finished in double figures for the Spartans with 14 points.  Ansley/Litchfield is now 20-3 on the season and will begin play at the NSAA boys state basketball championship tournament on March 7th in Lincoln.
