Anselmo-Merna Wins Mullen Invite

Anselmo-Merna claimed the team championship at the Mullen wrestling invite on Saturday.  AM won the title with 154 points.  Hitchcock County was runner up with 143 points and Mullen was third with 141.5 points.  AM had seven wrestlers place in the top four of their weight class including three champions.  Tristan Olson was champion at 113 lbs., Tyce Porter was champion at 145 lbs., and Sid Miller was champion at 195 lbs.  Other medalists for the Coyotes included Jarrett Wells third at 132 lbs., Jadon Wells third at 152 lbs., Caden Coufal 3rd at 160 lbs., and Tayte Thornton 3rd at 220 lbs.  Mullen had five wrestlers claim individual titles.  They included Jeffrey Forsen at 120 lbs., Eli Paxton at 126 lbs., Chase Gracey at 170 lbs., Tel Kvanvig at 220 lbs., and Isaac Welch at 285 lbs.  Tate Kvanvig placed fourth for the Broncos at 182 lbs.  Sandhills/Thedford had two wrestlers place in the top four.  Coby Higgins was fourth at 170 lbs. and Caden Zutavern was third at 195 lbs.
