Anselmo-Merna, Sandhills/Thedford, Brady, and Arthur County Advance to MNAC Girls Semifinals

The MNAC girls basketball tournament quarterfinals were played Tuesday night in Dunning and Brady.  In Dunning, Anselmo-Merna advanced to the semifinals with a 66-31 win over Twin Loup.  Ten players for the Lady Coyotes scored led by Makenna Miller who had big game leading all scorers with 24 points.  Twin Loup was led by Madison Glidden who had a team high nine points for the Lady Wolves.  Anselmo-Merna will face the top seed Sandhills/Thedford in the semifinal round.  Sandhills/Thedford defeated Sandhills Valley 61-12.  The Lady Knights were led by Dayle Haake who scored a game high 16 points.  Jaylen Dimmitt also finished in double figures for Sandhills/Thedford with 10 points.

In Brady, the #3 seed Arthur County advanced to the semifinals with a 34-29 over Mullen.  Arthur County will face the #2 seed Brady in the semifinal round.  Brady held off South Loup 41-27.

The MNAC semifinals will take place on Thursday at the Broken Bow high school gym.  The boys semifinals will be up first starting with Sandhills/Thedford vs Twin Loup at 3 pm followed by South Loup vs Sandhills Valley.  The first girls semifinal will feature Brady vs Arthur County at 6 pm followed by Sandhills/Thedford vs Anselmo-Merna.  All semifinal games will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com.  A live video stream of the semifinal will also be available on the Sandhills Express Facebook page and You Tube channel.
