Additional Qualifiers for Class B and D State Track and Field Meet Released

Additional qualifiers for the Class B and D state track and field championships next week in Omaha have been released.  Broken Bow’s Max Denson has qualified for state in the Class B boys discus based on his performance at the B5 district meet in Holdrege earlier this week. The following athletes from the KCNI/KBBN coverage area have qualified for state based on their time and performance at the D8 district meet in Paxton on Wednesday.

Burwell hosted and competed in the D5 district track and field championships on Wednesday. Representing the Longhorns in Omaha next week will be Austin Mayfield in the boys 110 meter hurdles, Avery Mann in the girls discus, and the girls 4×100 meter relay team (Katie Hughes, Celia Mueller, Aiva Koenigsberg, and Rylee Jarecke)
