South Loup Track Invite Results – South Loup Girls Win Team Title

South Loup hosted its annual track and field invitational Monday in Arnold.  South Loup won the girls team championship with 130.75 points.  North Platte St. Pat’s was runner-up with 72 points.  Sandhills/Thedford and Arcadia/Loup City tied for third with 54 points.  North Platte St. Pat’s edged Burwell for the boys team title.  St Pat’s was atop the standings with 80.83 points and Burwell was runner-up with 79.  South Loup was third with 62 points.

Among the area highlights, Carli Bailey of Ansley/Litchfield had a big day winning three individual golds.  Bailey won the girls 400 in a winning time of 1:01.2 and placed first in the girls 300 meter hurdles in a time of 48.1 seconds.  Bailey also won the girls 100 meter hurdles in a winning time of 16.3 seconds .  Jessica Stieb of Arcadia/Loup City won two individual golds winning both throwing events.  Stieb won the girls shot put by setting a new meet record with a winning effort of 42’4″ and won the girls discus with a winning effort of 144’2.25″.  The Mullen girls set a new meet record in the 4×800 meter relay with a winning time of 10:42.3.  Callie Coble of Mullen won the girls 3200 meters in a winning time of 12:54.4.  Haley Recoy won two individual golds winning the girls 100 in a time of 13 seconds flat and winning the 200 in 28.1.  Landri Loos of Arcadia/Loup City won the girls 800 meters in a time of 2:38.4.  Peyton Paxton of Mullen was champion in the girls mile with a winning time of 5:50.6.  Kierra Ostrom of Burwell won the girls high jump clearing 4’10” and Reagan Cool of South Loup won the girls pole vault clearing 9′ even.  Sandhills/Thedford won the girls 4×100 in a time of 52.2 seconds and South Loup won the girls 4×400 in a winning time of 4:30.9.

On the boys side, Kaden Reeves of Arcadia/Loup City won the boys pole vault clearing 13’3″.  Seth Scranton of Sandhills/Thedford won the boys triple jump with a winning effort of 40’3″.  Cache Gracey of South Loup won two individual golds winning the boys 400 in a time of 51.4 seconds and winning the 800 in a time of 2:06.8. Trevor Kuncl won the boys 3200 meters in a winning time of 10:34.1 which set a new meet record.  Hans Gideon of Burwell won the boys 300 meter hurdles in a time of 42.6 seconds.  Burwell won the boys 4×100 in a time of 45.3 seconds and Burwell also won the boys 4×400 in a time of 3:42.5.
