Broken Bow Girls Finish 2nd and Bow Boys Tie for 2nd at Broken Bow Track Invite

Broken Bow hosted its annual track invitational at Mark Russell Field on Friday.  McCook was the girls team champion with 96.5 points.  Broken Bow edged Scottsbluff for the girls runner-up trophy.  Broken Bow finished with 85 points and Scottsbluff had 82.  McCook also won the boys team title finishing with 124 points.  Broken Bow tied with Aurora for team runner-up as each finished with 83 points.

Among the Broken Bow highlights, Noah Osmond was a double gold medal winner.  Osmond was champion of the boys 3200 meter run in a winning time of 10:28.06 and was first in the boys 1600 in a winning time of 4:48.64.  Zane Eggleston was the champion of the boys 300 meter hurdles in a winning time of 42.05 seconds and was runner-up in the boys 110 meter high hurdles.  Kya Scott was runner-up in the girls high jump with an effort of 4’11” and was third in the girls shot put.  Macy Doggett was runner-up in the girls shot put with an effort of 34′.  MaKinley Tobey was champion of the girls mile in a winning time of 5:58.45 and Gaby Staples was third in the mile.  Gracie Hackel was runner-up in the girls 3200 meter run and MaKinley  Tobey was third.  Brody Ridder was third in the boys pole vault clearing 13’2″.  Daine Wardyn was third in the boys 3200 meters.

In the relays, Broken Bow girls were runner-up in both the 4×800 and 4×400.   On the boys side, Broken Bow was runner-up in the 4×100 meter relay and was third in the 4×800.
