The Custer County 4-H public speaking contest was held recently in Broken Bow, with six entries made by Custer County 4-H youth in four divisions.
The top individuals receiving purple ribbons at the county contest in the Junior, Intermediate, and Senior Speech divisions will represent Custer County at the Premier Communications Event, previously called the State 4-H Public Speaking Contest. The event takes place June 20 in Lincoln.
Award donors for the Custer County contest included Cindy Pearson in memory of Bill Pearson, Arnold Rotary, and the Eugene Holeman Memorial.
