USDA offering informational CRP meetings in Broken Bow, Ord

BROKEN BOW – The Nebraska USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) along with several conservation partners will be conducting informational meetings throughout the remainder of March for agricultural producers and private landowners interested in participating in the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP).

The USDA opened a CRP signup period in February which runs through April 7.

Nearby meetings include a 2 p.m. March 20 meeting in St. Paul at the St. Paul Community Library at 1301 Howard Avenue, a 1 p.m. March 21 meeting in Broken Bow at the MPCC Broken Bow Campus in Room 104 at 2520 South E Street, and a 6 p.m. meeting in Ord at Jubilee Events and Catering, 1528 L Street.

Nebraska FSA county office leaders and conservation organization representatives will be present at the meetings to discuss CRP practice options, land eligibility criteria, and updated soil rental rates, as well as other pertinent information. All meetings are free, and no registration is required.
