US-30 Detour Near North Platte Rescheduled

NORTH PLATTE – Due to forecasted weather, the detour planned for Highway US-30 east of North Platte on January 12 has been rescheduled for Sunday, January 15, according to a release by the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

KEA Constructors, LLC of Milford, Nebraska remains the prime contractor. The detour will be in effect for a total of 11 days, and will end Sunday, January 25. The detour is related to ongoing construction work on the North Platte River Bridge, east of North Platte. Motorists will be directed to I-80 for the duration of the 11 days.

This detour is the second of a planned series of three for the project. Notification for the final detour will be made when those dates are set.

The Department of Transportation reminds all motorists to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and not to use cell phones while driving.
