UPDATED: Changes Coming to Arrow Seed Operations – Distribution Operations to be “Consolidated”

(Latest updates in italics)

In a statement provided to KCNI/KBBN by NativeSeed Group Vice President of Operations Tim McAra, the company has clarified that “Arrow Seed is consolidating operations into NativeSeed Group’s facility in Osborne, Kansas, effective March 1, 2026.”

McAra states Arrow Seed sales representatives will continue to serve the areas that they have in the past, while orders will be fulfilled by NativeSeed Group’s Star Seed facility in Osborne, KS. Per the statement, “All customer relationships, pricing, and service agreements remain unchanged.”

Eight distribution-side employees will be impacted by the change in operation. The NativeSeed statement expresses thanks to these individuals, indicating placement and severance support will be provided.

Arrow Seed’s commercial operations are anticipated to remain unchanged. Arrow Seed’s commercial employees will remain in place.  Likewise, NativeSeed Group and Arrow Seed plan to continue purchasing grain from Central Nebraska Producers.

Arrow Seed was purchased by NativeSeed Group in July of 2024. Joining a network of 12 other seed dealers across the western half of the US, the expectation was that the sale would set the company up for long-term stability.

The bottom line, according to McAra, is that the change is about where orders are fulfilled, and not who the companies do business with.

NativeSeed Group indicates it is making the change to accomplish exactly that goal. Facing ongoing economic pressures in the agricultural market, the statement provided says the Kansas facility provides a greater operational capability, allowing the company to “build capacity and increase efficiency” in order to “remain competitive and sustainable long-term.”

The full statement provided to KCNI/KBBN can be read below.
