UNMC Men’s Annual Roast Beef Dinner this Sunday

BROKEN BOW – The United Methodist Church in Broken Bow is hosting its annual Men’s Roast Beef dinner this Sunday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. The cost is $12 per ticket for adults and school-aged kids, preschool kiddos are free. Tickets can be picked up at Chapins Furniture or you can show up the day of and pay the $12.

Two options are available for this meal, dine-in or carry-out. If you choose to carry out, you are invited to call the Church at 308-872-5963, let them know you’d like to carry out, drive up to the front door and someone at the Church will bring the meal out to you.

Kent Taylor told KCNI/KBBN what foods you can expect to have.

1:46:15 “Other than that we will have along with the roast beef supper, mashed potatoes, and gravy. Your choice of green beans or corn. And then the women, the men didn’t do this, we have to give the women some kudos. They make salads and desserts for us, and so if you leave there hungry, well don’t leave, just come back and get some more.”

The money that is raised at the Roast Beef Dinner is used for scholarships said Kirk Crawley.

1:46:58-1:47-13  “And the money that is made form this we use for scholarships. So you are not only investing in a great supper, but you are also investing in your future with scholarships that are going out to kids that can apply for those scholarships”.

1:53:48 “It’s not all just about raising the money, it is the fellowship that we develop” said Taylor.
