CUSTER COUNTY – The Custer County Foundation is currently in scholarship season and recently announced two new local scholarships in memory of very loved people.
A new scholarship opportunity has been announced for a graduating student from a Custer County high school, intending to pursue a degree in Education. This scholarship is the “Angie Brown Miller Spread Kindness Scholarship”. Priority will be granted to applicants specializing in Special Education or school counseling.
Another new scholarship opportunity is titled “The Mark Wells Memorial Scholarship”. The scholarship is for a Custer County graduate with preference being given to an Anselmo-Merna senior who plans to attend a two-year school and will be going into welding.
According to the Custer County Foundation website, all scholarship applications are due February 1. The Foundation encourages all students to submit their application before January 15 to ensure all required information is included in the applications.
