Two Felony Arraignments In Custer County District Court

Only two felony criminal cases were on the Custer County District Court docket for Thursday, August 7th.

Casey M. Hall, age 48 of Ravenna, appeared for his arraignment. Hall is charged with ten counts of possession of child pornography, all Class IIA felonies. Hall pleaded not guilty to all charges and Judge Karin Noakes set October 20, 2025 for his jury trial.

Not appearing for an arraignment, but entering a not guilty plea through his attorney, was Jared J. Meister, age 38 of Rising City. Meister is charged with theft by unlawful taking in an amount over $5,000, a Class IIA felony. The charge stems from an investigation into the disappearance of a blonde bison bull belonging to Mitch and Roxanne Huggins, owners of the Comstock Premier Lodge located in Custer County. His trial date is set for October 20, 2025.
