Two car collision outside Anselmo leaves one injured Monday

ANSELMO – At 11 a.m. on Monday, a two-vehicle accident occurred outside of Anselmo.

According to a report from the Custer County Sheriff’s Office, one vehicle, a Minnesota-registered 2009 Saturn Aura, was heading westbound on Sargent Road when it crossed into the eastbound lane.

The second vehicle, a 2016 Ford F150 S, heading eastbound, left the roadway to the south to avoid a head-on collision. The first vehicle sideswiped the second vehicle’s driver’s side. Both vehicles were towed due to disabling damage.

The driver of the Saturn stated that they do not remember anything about the accident, and was transported via Sargent Ambulance Service to Jennie M. Melham Memorial Medical Center for treatment of minor head injuries, with the driver of the Ford avoiding apparent injury entirely.

Both vehicles were towed due to disabling damage, and the scene was cleared by 1:33 p.m.
