BROKEN BOW- An accident involving a motorcycle occurred Tuesday evening in Broken Bow, resulting in injuries to the rider.
According to Broken Bow Police Chief Steve Scott, Marie Yarrington, age 48 of Broken Bow, was traveling southbound on South 8th Avenue on a motorcycle when a teenage driver pulled out from the intersection to go north. The driver was reported to have not seen Yarrington until they started to turn. The vehicle stopped upon seeing the motorcycle and Yarrington locked up the brakes and laid down the motorcycle to avoid a collision.
Yarrington was transported to Melham Hospital in Broken Bow with non life threatening injuries. The Broken Bow Fire Department and Broken Bow Ambulance service assisted at the scene.
